City Council Election Information

Interested in running for City Council?  City residents who wish to have their name on the ballot to fill an expiring term of a City Alderperson Districts may download or pick up a copy of the nomination packet.  This packet contains the appropriate forms and helpful information to help you declare your candidacy.  The Columbus City Council will have 3 terms expiring in April 2022.  Although the deadline has passed with nominations no longer accepted, the first day to circulate nomination papers was December 1, 2021 with completed forms due back in the Clerk's office no later than 5:00 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2022. You can download the 2022 Nomination Packet or pick up a copy in the Clerk's office.
