The City of Columbus Landscape Recycling Center is available for City of Columbus residents during seasonal hours of operation, April 1, 2023, through November 18, 2023, Monday and Wednesday 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. 

Current year sticker with assigned number is required on your LRC tag. Can be picked up at DPW during normal business hours.

Annual rearview hanger and sticker required for entrance. Proof of residency (driver’s license, water & light bill or tax bill) required in order to receive rearview hanger and sticker. Hangers and stickers can be picked up at DPW located at City Hall 105 N. Dickason Blvd. during normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Annual stickers are to be placed at the bottom of the Landscape Recycling Center rearview hanger.

Brush Pickup

Brush will be picked up curbside the first Monday of the month April 3 to October 2, 2023, and must be placed on the tree border by 7:00 am on the first Monday. Brush is defined as limbs 8” or less in diameter, with ends facing the same way. Twigs less than 1” should be placed with yard waste and taken to the Landscape Recycling Center. Should a holiday fall on a Monday, brush pickup will move to Tuesday.

Leaf Pickup

Weather permitting, leaves will be picked up the weeks of October 9 to November 13, 2023. Place leaves on the curb no later than 7:00 am on the Monday of your scheduled week of pickup. Do not put leaves around posts, guide wires, etc. Do not park cars by leaf piles.

Acceptable Items

Items NOT Accepted

  • Yard items - leaves, grass clippings, brush, yard waste (free of plastic bags and rocks)
  • Used motor oil - Please do not leave your oil containers.
  • Vehicle batteries
  • Cardboard
  • Scrap metal - bicycles, washers, dryers, stoves, water heaters, dishwashers, and other miscellaneous metals
  • Landscaping fabric
  • Rocks
  • Railroad ties
  • Construction materials
  • Cooking oil
  • Wood chips or barrels

Contractors can obtain a required rear-view hanger at our Public Works Department at 105 N. Dickason Blvd., Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, along with proof of Business Contact Information and Driver's License, along with a $25 fee. Contractors will need to obtain a current year sticker with an assigned number annually. 

Contractors performing contracted work for City of Columbus residents must provide a “Consent to Use” form for each job. Form must be completed by the City of Columbus resident and/or property owner they are performing the work for. All information MUST be filled in for follow-up verification. If the form is not filled in completely access will be denied. No combined loads. Contractors that live in the City of Columbus and do not provide a consent form will be limited to 3 cubic yards of approved material per week. Contractors performing work outside the city limits are restricted from using the Columbus Landscape Recycling Center. Contractors must show rear-view hanger to the attendant to enter the Landscape Recycling Center.
