On Thursday, March 9, 2023, the Columbus Police Department received a $1000 donation from the 4th of July Committee towards its body camera project. The department appreciates the donation towards a very worthwhile project. A small presentation ceremony was held outside the Police Department at the Columbus Public Safety Building, located at 159 S. Ludington St. The ceremony concluded with a photo featuring Max Andler of the 4th of July Committee, Columbus Police Chief Weiner, Dave Maylone of the 4th of July Committee, Tory Weidemann of the 4th of July Committee, and Columbus Police Sergeant Rosecky.
