Crawfish River Bridge, Old STH 73, Columbia County
Below is the info I have
so far on the Bridge project as of this morning.
The project began April 24th with the road closure in place. All driveways south of the bridge can be accessed from the south on Old STH 73 Rd, and all driveways north of the bridge can be accessed from Poser Rd between STH 73 and Old STH 73 Rd. This week they will be removing the existing structure, beginning April 25th.
STH 73 (Marshall - Columbus) Project Notification
Here’s the information for the Highway 73 project, Highway 73 & Deansville Road to Marshall City Limits.
General Project Information:

Work to be completed: Milling Existing Pavement, Asphalt Paving, Shouldering, Pavement Markings, and Removing Guardrail
Anticipated Start Date: April 27th, 2023
Project Completion Date: June 21st, 2023
Traffic Information:
STH 73 will be closed to through traffic during the project with a posted detour route. The posted detour route will be STH 19 to STH 89 to STH 73, the detour route is also attached.
Local traffic will be maintained on STH 73 wile construction is occurring and we will keep STH 73 open to two-way traffic at all times, except through the work zone.
We will maintain an 11 foot land at all times within the work zone with a moving flagging operation.
Highway 60 Project - Arlington to Columbus; STH 22 to Commerce Dr.
Here’s some of the details for this project, which starts May 1st, traffic control starting Wednesday May 3rd.
a. Description of Proposed Work: removing asphaltic surface milling, cold in-place recycling (CIR) asphalt, HMA pavement, guard rail adjustment and replacement, concrete curb and gutter, culvert pipe replacement, paved shoulder widening, centerline and shoulder rumble strip milling, pavement marking, and all incidental items
b. Traffic Control Plan
i. Detours and bypasses: Utilize detour during construction. STH 22 to STH 16
ii. Road closings: STH 60 will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project
iii. Access - At all times maintain access through the work zone for local traffic, emergency vehicles, school busses, mail delivery, and garbage pick-up. Maintain a minimum of one 12-foot travel lane for local traffic access on a minimum driving surface of base aggregate dense, clear of obstructions including material stockpiles, equipment, exposed utilities, and open excavations.
Maintain access to all commercial, private, and field entrances at all times for local residents, businesses, and emergency vehicles. If temporary access closures are required to accommodate construction operations, contact property owners 48 hours prior to closing access in order to coordinate temporary closures.
iv. Through traffic - allow access to the businesses at all times during construction.

• Non-vehicular traffic – quad-axles hauling material for the projects need to remain on approved routes
